A MAGISTRATE COURT IN MULANJE HAS SENTENCED A MAN FOR 19 YEARS

 The Senior Magistrate Court in Mulanje on Friday has convicted and sentenced a 40 year old man ,Charles Selenje to 19 years in prison for defiling his stepdaughter.

Selenje who upon hearing that his step daughter had spilled the beans escaped to Mozambique, but he was apprehended by Malawians living in Mozambique who brought him to Malawi and surrendered him to the police.

He pleaded guilty to the charge of defilement.
